Hi, my name is Stacy. I have grown up in the Early Childhood sector having hung out in my mother’s centres as a youngster, which grew my passion and led to me following in her footsteps and becoming a Qualified Early Childhood Teacher. For the last 7 years I have enjoyed working in centres throughout the Waikato, recently joining the Kids at Home whanau as a Visiting Teacher. I have two beautiful children, Zeke 8 and Shakaina 9, whom I have had the pleasure of teaching in my centres myself. I am very involved in their extra curriculum activities, enjoying attending my son’s rugby and coaching my daughter’s Yr 5/6 netball team. I also enjoy in my spare time playing indoor netball and baking.

I am extremely passionate about culture and have a natural curiosity to continue to learn more Te reo Māori and help those around me to learn from my knowledge base as well as learn about the vast other cultures in the wider community. In home based care I love that fact that we can provide ‘whanaungatanga’ - relationships that develop as a result of working collaboratively and collectively in the interest of the child’s need while providing them with many great opportunities to learn through play.

I am based at our Kids at Home Hamilton office, 251 Te Rapa Road. Feel free to drop in and meet our friendly team if you would like to discuss Home-based childcare or perhaps joining our team as an Educator!
