Hi my name is Robs. I have worked within the Early Childhood sector for 28 years starting out working for the Southland Kindergarten Association as a teacher in Invercargill. My passion grew from being involved in my daughter’s kindergarten many moons ago. I have worked as a teacher, manager in centres in Hamilton, moving on to homebased childcare four years ago. I have one awesome daughter, Stacy I work alongside of.

When I’m not working I am spending time with my grandchildren, Zeke 8 and Shakaina 9, following their sports interests and watching them play Playstation!! I enjoy pottering in the garden and cooking for family and friends. I love the diversity of my Network and the challenges of working amongst educators where English is a second language. They are an inspiration and aspire to have better educational opportunities for their children than they did. I believe in homebased care where children form warm and reciprocal relationships not only with educators but with the whole whanau.
