Hi I'm Carolyn - I'm one of the Visiting Teachers,

based in Hamilton.

My qualifications are: Bachelor of Teaching (ECE)

Certificate of Adult Teaching

Current First Aid certificate

I started out my career in early childhood education as a

Nanny, and did my training with Ashton Warner

Nanny Academy when I was 18. 

After a few years as a Nanny I went on to have my own

children and became a homebased educator until my

youngest child started school. That’s when I started work

in an Early Learning Centre and finally completed my

teaching qualification. 

I have worked in a variety of centres in New Zealand

and Australia and thoroughly enjoy working with

both adults and children. 

I am a real ‘people’s person’ and love being around children because they are unpredictable, underestimated and

great fun to learn with!   

As a Visiting Teacher I believe I am here to support the educator, the children and their families to

ensure the best possible care and education is received.
