Kids at Home has turned eight years old! 

On Friday, the 6th of August 2010, Kids at Home turned eight years old - and boy did we celebrate!

As part of our birthday celebrations, we decided to have our new premises blessed by the local Maori Kaumatua.  Maehe Muraahi (Kaumatua), Maia Muraahi (Kaiako - head tutor) and Karen Serancke (Kai Whakarite - Manager) from Nga Kakano Kohanga reo o Kihikihi visited us and performed the blessing.  It was a really moving occasion.  Afterwards they stayed and enjoyed a coffee and a piece of our special birthday cake.
