Hi, my name is Catherine! I love being an Educator with Kids at Home Waikato. Two of my values as an Educator that I pride myself in are fostering my care children's independence, and developing and maintaining quality relationships with not only the children but their families. Attending playgroup twice a week, and music group are special times of the week, it is great for socialisation and a chance for the children to explore new and different equipment! Other activities the children and I enjoy are going on local walks, playdates with other Educators and their care children, going to the playground, velodrome and collecting natural resources for craft activities.
I have been married for 14 wonderful years, my husband and I have four beautiful children, three school aged boys, and one pre-school age daughter. Our home has a large outdoor space which is fantastic for bikes, scooters, running races etc. Indoors we have a large collection of age appropriate toys and equipment including puzzles, blocks, dress ups, cars, play bbq and kitchen, musical instruments... books and more! Caring for and educating children is a passion of mine, as a mother and home-based Educator I have a wealth of knowledge and experience caring for children with health requirements such as Asthma.
I work Monday to Friday and I am flexible to work with your families requirements, available for early starts if required. Contact the Kids at Home team to arrange a meeting if you would like to enquire about home-based care with me!
