Moi
Te Awamutu, Waikato
Kia ora, my name is Moi, and I am a Home-based Educator in Te Awamutu with over 15 years of experience caring for and teaching children. My family including my 2 wonderful children and husband would like to invite you to join our care whanau.
Caring for children is a passion of mine and I pride myself on offering a home-away-from-home for my care children. I enjoy teaching children through home-based care as it means that I can work closely with families and whanau to provide the best outcomes for children. My family has grown over the years to include a number of my care families, as caring for their precious young children is a team effort.
My environment is well set up and resourced to provide tamariki with plenty of learning experiences, and opportunities to develop and extend their skills and knowledge. I encourage independence while supporting efforts, and achievements. Your child will enjoy their time exploring the wonders that my backyard has to offer, as they are able to have space to run, play, learn and explore. I love being outside immersed in nature and believe that children learn best in these types of environments, you will often find them helping me with the gardens or picking feijoas to share with the neighbors.
I also have a love and passion for animals which I share with my tamariki. We have a little dog Ziggy which I brought back from London and 2 cats which are amazing with kids. In spring my children enjoy the experience of learning how to care for animals by caring for our pet lamb each year.
You’ll always find my home full of fun, laughter, and learning!
