Play, music and gymnastics groups offer your child the opportunity to experience a learning environment that encourages emotional, social and physical skills development.  Aside from all that, of course ... they absolutely LOVE attending groups ... they're such fun!

From the parent's perspective, their child is exposed to the foundations of learning, through play.  They can also mix and make friends with their peers; learn to take turns; learn to share - all that basic stuff that children need to learn to get along in this busy world!  

Kids at Home's groups are facilitated by our qualified ECE Visiting Teachers, or in the case of gymnastics, by a qualified instructor. Our VTs all have heaps of experience running music classes and playgroups for preschoolers.  These sessions are fun for all ages and will give you some great ideas for what to do at home with your little ones.

And ... this is really special - we have our own venue!

The music and playgroup sessions are run at our own venue (something unique amongst homebased childcare services in Hamilton.)  This allows us to utilise our huge range of resources, as well as the centre environment we have (we run a session-based early childcare centre in the afternoons.) Not only do we have the groups on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, but the venue is also available to our educators and families on Monday, Thursday and Friday mornings as well to pop in for a play, use the resources etc.

Hamilton play and music groups - everyone welcome at these open sessions in our own venue.  These interactive sessions are run by qualified ECE teachers and consist of a music group component first, followed by a playgroup session.  We also run regular "mini workshops" on various topics for educators.  Pop in for a coffee and a play and find out more about our service and the types of care we offer.  You are most welcome to talk to our Visiting Teachers and other parents and educators to find out how our service can work for you and your family.

Te Awamutu play group - these are held monthly in Te Awamutu.

Gymnastics  -  all are welcome to attend these fortnightly sessions based in Hamilton.  The sessions are run by qualified ECE teachers, and a gymnastics instructor is on site as well to assist.  Loved by children and educators alike, gymnastics is a fun and exciting session.

Venue and times:  YMCA, Pembroke Street - every second Thursday. 9.30 - 10.30am
