  • 'First time meeting Shirley I knew she will be the perfect carer for my boy at the time my son was still breastfed and he was a mummies boy wouldn't go to anyone but something about Shirley my son really connected with her and he felt warmth and safe, I cannot thank Shirley and her family for the care they provide for my boy Shirley goes beyond, out and about always doing activities, playgroups, park, outings, crafts, she provides a warm safe environment for the children she has animals which the children help to feed. Shirley is a Superwoman always happy and smiling my son loves her and we all do to, Shirley will always be special to us not only because of all her hard work, time and love she puts into my son but because they share the same birthday, Thank you again Shirley from the bottom of our hearts you are truly a blessing!!' - S.Petersen
  • My name is Ileena O’Donnell and I am writing this testimonial about Shirley Clayton, I have had my daughter Bella in Shirley’s care since she was 7 months old, she will be four in September coming up.
Shirley is amazing, she treats and cares for Bella like she is her own, she also works with me and my forever changing work rosters which I am very thankful about.

Bella has come so far and learnt just as much during her time there, and we love all the picture’s and all the special crafts from cards to even making Christmas baubles for our Christmas tree.

We all love Shirley very much

  • I am writing this testimonial about Shirley Clayton,
Who I have had the pleasure of knowing for almost the past two years while she has been my daughter’s carer?
Prior to Kyah starting with Shirley Kyah was shy and anxious little girl, Kyah had a lot of changes at home and I was worried this new change of carer would affect her, Shirley gets all the kids involved in cooking, arts and crafts as well as getting all the kids playing together   But thanks to Shirley, Kyah has grown into a bright confident young girl.
In conclusion Shirley is excellent at her job, loving and caring, very attentive, dependable, and very flexible, it has been a pleasure knowing my daughter has been in a safe, learning, loving environment.
    Kind Regards

  • Our son Nico was cared for by Shirley in her home in Tauranga through Kids at Home Child Care. He started early January 2018 and finished around May as we moved to Te Puke when buying our home there.Nico was about 7 months old and was attending a day care when I decided to move him to an in- home carer so he could get more one on one time and be in a home environment.
I was fond of Shirley’s profile because she seemed down to earth, hands on and her home was on a large property with a kind of rural outlook and there were animals nearby.  Shirley was so lovely to meet and took me through her home explaining the areas, her safety precautions, sleeping area and also the outdoor deck which had an amazing set up of toys and activity equipment.

Nico thrived with Shirley and from his first drop off to his last she made me feel comforted knowing he was happy and safe. We always received great communication, photos and videos of Nico and she even captured his first steps for us!
She also asked us for feedback and what Nico liked and what his routines were so she could keep these going while he was with her.
It was really sad to say goodbye to Shirley and if it wasn't for buying a home so far away we would have stayed with her. She also loves to still see how Nico is doing which I think is great.

I would be happy to recommend Shirley to anyone needing an awesome carer and teacher for their child. We wish her all the best in the future.
    Kind regards

    Tamara Richardson.

  • I would like to offer my personal and professional endorsement of one Shirley Clayton.

Shirley has been supporting my son Phoenix for over two years with afterhours care and her consistency and professionalism is above excellence.
Shirley is not only 100% reliable, her care and kindness stands out hugely.  Shirley has made this adjustment and development period for my son in his most critical years by caring for him after day-care and now into primary school every week, so much less stressful and for that I will forever be grateful.  For my child to know he has consistent caring adult there for him every week, has been crucial especially as he has issues with adjustment and change.
I would easily without any doubt recommend her both as a person and as educational professional to anyone.
