Hi, my name is Bev! My husband and I have four adult children and 11 wonderful grandchildren. We shifted from Rotorua to Taupo 14 years ago.

Our pets consist of one hand-reared Cockatiel and a tank full of fish! I became an Educator because I felt I was unable to find daycare that offered both stability and flexibility for my youngest child. He had just turned two at the time and I thought I would do this until he went to school, he is now married with four beautiful children! And I am still here many years and over 100 care children later.

I love to have busy children; busy children are happy children and happiness is conducive to learning. I also love 1 on 1 and group conversations with the children, this is learning at its best and what they have to say is often delightful and insightful! Nothing is more rewarding that seeing a shy child turn into a social butterfly in mere months!

We have planned outings each week, these include a coffee group, playgroups, Toddler Time at the Library, gymnastics (monthly) plus each term a Kids Day Out with our Kids at Home family! The children and I enjoy spontaneous outings such as picnics at the playground, kite flying, walks around the block or maybe just a trip out to the airport because a child has a new interest in planes!

I enjoy being an Educator with Kids at Home immensely and plan to continune for many years to come!
